Carr ROAd, Three Kings

Metalhartt completed the full reroofing works at Three Kings, for Eamon Storage Limited, with Kiwi Self Storage operating from the site.

The building is highly visible from the Southwestern Motorway, and the reroof required a practical system that would perform well at scale while protecting the storage units below. For a facility holding customers’ personal belongings, keeping the building dry throughout and after the works was a key priority.

Metalhartt facilitated the full reroofing project, including coordination with the asbestos removal team, supply and installation of seven Ampelair units, new rainwater goods, 150mm Marley PVC downpipes and associated spouting to ground level, a 300mm box gutter, and Dimond top capping. Works were carried out under shrink-wrap to help maintain programme, protect the site, and allow progress to continue through the roofing stages.

A major part of the scope involved working with the client to remove the existing internal gutters and parapet detail. This allowed for a new external 300mm box gutter setup, creating a more robust solution for heavy rain and improving the way water is managed across the roof.

The reroof was completed using DP955.55 Endura in Titana, with ECOFOAM DP955 installed to help prevent vermin and bird access.
